With classes beginning Monday, the start of a new academic year at Carolina is here. For thousands of students, this marks the start of their Tar Heel journeys. For thousands more, it’s a return to the place they’ve learned to love.

The fun and excitement began before classes did, as students moved into on-campus residence halls and apartments and houses throughout Chapel Hill and the surrounding area. The night before the start of the semester, Tar Heels came together for New Student 召开 and celebrated at FallFest.

I’m positive that you will all fall in love with this extraordinary university just like I have. There’s a tangible love for this place everywhere you turn. I’ve been other places, and I promise it’s not like this. 卡罗莱纳很特别.
